Louisiana State Representative Beryl Amedée is entering her third term in the House having been re-elected without opposition. Her district is located in the coastal region and includes portions of Terrebonne, St. Mary, Assumption, and Lafourche Parishes.
In the House, Rep. Amedee has served on the Appropriations, Education, Agriculture, Civil Law, and Labor committees, and as Vice Chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus.
Rep. Amedée is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts (our state high school for gifted students) and Stellma Learning Center (a school for children with Autism and related challenges).
Reverend Amedée is also an ordained Christian minister with Foursquare International.
In 2023, Beryl and her husband, John, celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. They have 3 outstanding children and 7 amazing grandchildren.
In her free time, Beryl enjoys running, gardening, fishing, learning guitar and piano, and drinking chocolate milkshakes.
